I am beyond fed up. Your customer care line gives two options: Gife voucher and fashion? I am not paying my account for the sole reason as I would like three months statements emailed to me. I cannot find anyone telephonically that has listened to me and mail me the request. So every time someone phones me now for a payment I put in my request for the statements. And until I get them - No payment.
We went shopping at Edgars in the Vaal Mall on Saturday 10/11/2016. Everything went fine until we had to stand in a queue for 55 minutes to pay. The worst of all is we were 3rd in the queue for about 50 out of the 55 minutes. My wife call on the employees to go and fetch the manger. I saw a lady coming to the tills and started sorting out hangers. I tried phoning Edgars and the Vaal Mall for my cell phone. I must have phoned at least ten times. Nobody answered. Everybody in the que was getting impatient. When we got in front my wife asked where is the manager of the tills and she pointed to the lady sorting out the hangers. We called her closer and asked her why she is not opening another till point. She answered in such a way that we still do not know what she said. We asked her to go and fetch her manager. She came back after three minutes and stated her manger is not in her office. The manger working at the till point was very unhelpful. Edgars will never see me again.

It is with complete frustration that I send this complaint. It is apparent that the values you reflect around customer service is totally disregarded by your leadership. You have not direct contact information to demonstrate your willingness to engage with your customers. I have just not had good customer service with the Boardmans online system. You either have the incorrect, have delays in crediting customers which you have to be reminded about. I have contacted Boardmans four times in a row with no intention of a manager coming back to me. Good day :my cell phone number I bought a Hisense U602 cellphone approximately 5months ago at Edgar's vanderbijlpark It had a problem with the speaker I took it to the store before the 7days warranty ended they refused to give me a new phone as stipulated in the contract, instead they took the phone for repairs;since then i had been waiting for months without a phone and no right answer from Edgar's;finally yesterday the manager called the manufacturer the response was, the faulty phone will not be brought back to the store and Edgar's must give me a new phone;today I was supposed to get my phone, but to no avail. The staff there had attitude, apparantly they lost my documents and I find them very incompetent;their customer service is very poor. I have been very patient and understanding, but now I am really annoyed of going to that store;I hope after this complaint I will get quality product I deserve or money back as soon as possible. On the 23rd of April i had been to the edgars Pavillion store to purchase a watch. For more than ten minutes both the employees standing at the watch counter did not offer any help to us. When we finally asked for assistance, the guy did not seem happy to help and neither did he offer any advice on the watches. We finally asked the man why do they not remove bands to make the watch fit more comfortably, he just pointed to a sign infront of the till and said nothing else to us. Very bad customer service and attitude to have towards customers supporting edgars.
Extremely bad service from you online division. Called five times before anyone could give me an answer and was disconnected four times by who ever. Trollip Manageress also did not call me back and I called her and managed to get her after a while two minutes to be correct. She gave me the same story. I cannot believe a Company ventures into online advertisement and then falsely state that it takes 2-5 working days which incidentally is untrue and then expect future online business. I purchased clothing for my daughter from Edgars and when I got home it was the incorrect size. Since 7-8 yrs is the biggest available size, I wanted a cash refund and was refused. I was so disappointed and even asked if the amount could be transferred to my husband's edgars account. I am very dissatisfied with this service. I demand a cash refund.
I am very dissatisfied with the new policy of no cash refunds. I bought R900 worth of clothing from Edgars for my eight year old daughter. When we got home and she tried them on, it didn't fit and since 7-8 years is the biggest size in those trends: I couldn't exchange them for a bigger size. I was infuriated when I was told that there are no cash refunds. My husband has an Edgars account for many years, so I asked if I could use the cash amount on the gift card to pay his account installment. This suggestion was also refused. I was asked to send bank details and letter, i did, was told i will get my money within 7days. I have not received the money to this day. I have been asked to resend my banking details 4times which i did, told the money is bouncing from the bank, i asked them to ask one of Botswana JET/EDGARS to refund me they say its not gonna happen, so i am still here waiting for my money. I have opened an account two weeks back, for a six months payment period. When i went to collect the card i realize that i was then put to 12 months re-payment, which was no agreed upon. Tried to contact customer service to get clarity on it, but still not clear on why didn't i get what i asked for. i worked for edgars botswana in gaborone, i was openning accounts for customers using express. by then i was using Bogale as my surname, my manager was jacob mabogo, who is a south african. i worked ther for november and december 2011, i was only paid for one week, the rest of the weeks were not paid. mr Mabogo is nowhere to be found.
I called your contact centre this morning and spoke with Sandra. I requested that she cancel all future correspondence from Edgars Financial Services. I do not appreciate receiving mail like this, especially in the light that I pay my account, and receive a statement. I've also requested that all additional services; e. G. Club, VIP, etc. Be cancelled. Sandra placed me on hold for five minutes without notifying me that she was doing so, upon picking up the call again, I requested to speak to her manager, after which she placed me on hold, again without notifying me. I am an Edgars account holder for a number of years now. I have conducted my account in a very good manner although like all other customers I have had a few arrears which I am always quick to rectify. Recently I applied for a motor vehicle finance which was turned down due to low credit rating. Upon my own investigations I discovered that Edgars had listed me as having owing them R262. 00. This surprised me because my account is up to date. On the 14th of November 2014, I phoned Edgars and they confirmed me that my account was up to date and that they were going to send a request immediately to Experiene to update my profile. On the 20 th November 2014, I phoned experience to check if they had received any such request, but they said they have not. I have been disadvantage for something that I rectified almost two months ago. I am now considering closing my account altogether.
On the 14/11/2014, I sent my helper to inquire why my proof of purchase made no sense. Two items from the mango department was purchased, denim shirt for R699 and a stone color dress for R549. But my receipt showed the items for R599 and below it had -R599 transactional discount and the other item showed R549 and below it had -R549 transactional discount, total paid appeared as R0, 00
When my helper went to customer service at edgars westville, it left her distressed and traumatised. The incompetent staff of edgars westville at customer service took the two item away from my helper and accused her of bring a false docket and when she claim that she purchase the items from the same store and received that docket the staff accused her of stealing the items and that's when another staff at customer service said they remember seeing her purchasing the items, but the person assisting her refused to listen. The staff lied that they checked security cameras and took the items away from her.
I bought a set of Skechers Fusion takkies for my husbands birthday, when returning to get another size Edgars Westgate, Roodepoort did not have the size. I am complaining about the client services department, failing to help me to look on their system for another size at one of the other branches. The woman did not feel like working and told me they cannot look on the system, whilst I know they can. I have been previously efficiently assisted like this before. I was so disappointed at the consultant not wanted to help me and the laisse affere attitude. This really puts Edgars in a bad light. My husband and i were writing UNISA exams. To whom it may concern, I have purchased a cellphone with Edgars and was offered the cellphone insurance by the consultant who sold me the phone. I have all the documents that states that the insurance is active however when I needed to claim on the account I was advised that due to “Technical issues’ on their side, the insurance was not activated on the system however I have documents stating otherwise. My phone has been with the store now for over three weeks now and it seems like a new excuse is made each week. I had the most bad experience ever at edgars weststreet. I walked in the morning to buy a pair of jean. When I took the jean from the hanger, there was a marker on it, but you could clearly see the price of 199.95 when the cashier by the name of Zama D had scanned the item she told me it was 249.95 and I couldn't get it at 199.95. She had called in the visual manger by the name of Antish, then the manger didn't even greet me or apologize for the inconvenience. Early this month I made a mistake while doing electronic payments and accidentally paid R5 000-00 into my Edgars account in stead of my home loan. This happened because these entities are listed as Beneficiaries just beneath one another on my internet banking list of beneficiaries. Despite a request by e-mail to Edgars customers services on the 13th of October requesting them to please refund the amount as I do not owe Edgars anything on the fully paid up account AND INFORMING THEM THAT MY HOME LOAN IS NOW IN ARREARS as a result of my oversight, I did not even receive the decency of a reply.

Approached the manager Anusha and asked her that I still require another Two without even checking she just responded if it is not on the shelf then we out of stock. I have been visiting the clinique beauty counter at edgars pavillion in durban on several occasions. i have been purchasing thousands of rands off products on two prior occasions which did not seem to assist me.
When i visited the clinique counter in the gateway mall this sat, i was informed that i had been incorrectly advised about the products i have been previously using.
I am extremely disappointed about this and it leads me to wonder how experienced and well trained the staff at these counters are to be advising us on face products!

Bad service received at Edgars PMB, Liberty mall.
